Το νέο έργο Mapping Jewish Memory ξεκινά στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Πάτρας και στο Μουσείο Εκπαίδευσης από τις κ.κ. Αλεξάνδρα Πατρικίου, Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια του Τ.Επ.Ε.Κ.Ε., επιστημονική υπεύθυνη του έργου, και Ευφροσύνη (Φρύνη) Κωσταρά, Μέλος ΕΔΙΠ του Τ.Επ.Ε.Κ.Ε., συνεργάτιδα του Προγράμματος.
Το Mapping Jewish Memory φέρνει κοντά εκπαιδευτικούς, φοιτητές και μαθητές από τη Γερμανία, την Ελλάδα, την Ουγγαρία, την Αυστρία, την Πολωνία, τη Σερβία και την Κροατία, με στόχο να έρθουν σε επαφή με την εβραϊκή ιστορία του 20ού αιώνα. Σκοπός μας είναι να ενισχύσουμε την ευρωπαϊκή μνήμη του Ολοκαυτώματος μέσα από τη χαρτογράφηση σημαντικών τόπων και μνημείων που συνδέονται με το Ολοκαύτωμα, αλλά και με την εβραϊκή ζωή πριν και μετά τον πόλεμο.
Στις αρχές του μήνα συναντηθήκαμε με τους εταίρους μας για την εναρκτήρια συνάντηση του νέου ευρωπαϊκού έργου Mapping Jewish Memory.
Μέσα από μια σειρά εργαστηρίων, θα δημιουργήσουμε νέες προσεγγίσεις για την εκπαίδευση γύρω από το Ολοκαύτωμα, αναπτύσσοντας εκπαιδευτικά εργαλεία που ανταποκρίνονται καλύτερα στις ανάγκες των νέων σήμερα. Παράλληλα, οι συμμετέχοντες θα ενισχύσουν, μεταξύ άλλων, τις ψηφιακές τους δεξιότητες και τις δεξιότητες αφήγησης.
Το έργο υλοποιείται από τους εταίρους Centropa Germany, Centropa Alapítvány (Ουγγαρία), Centre for Education Policy (Σερβία), HERMES (Κροατία), Galicia Jewish Museum (Πολωνία), Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών, Jewlif (Αυστρία) και DÖW, με τη συνεργασία των συνδεδεμένων εταίρων Leibniz Institute for Contemporary History (IfZ/EHRI) και AEPJ, και χρηματοδοτείται από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή.

New Project: Mapping Jewish Memory!
The new European project Mapping Jewish Memory is being launched at the University of Patras and the Museum of Education by Dr Alexandra Patrikiou, Assistant Professor at the Department of Educational Sciences and Social Work (TEPEKE), and Dr Effrosyni (Fryni) Kostara, Member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) at the Department of Educational Sciences and Social Work (TEPEKE).
The University of Patras is represented by Dr Alexandra Patrikiou, Assistant Professor at the Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education, and Dr Fryni Kostara, Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) at the Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education.
Earlier this month, we met with our project partners for the kick-off meeting of the new European project Mapping Jewish Memory.
Mapping Jewish Memory brings together educators, university students, and school pupils from Germany, Greece, Hungary, Austria, Poland, Serbia, and Croatia, with the aim of engaging them with the history of Jewish life in the twentieth century. The project seeks to strengthen the European memory of the Holocaust by mapping significant sites and memorials associated not only with the Holocaust itself but also with Jewish life before and after the Second World War.
Through a series of workshops, we will develop innovative approaches to Holocaust education by designing educational tools that better respond to the needs and expectations of today’s young people. At the same time, participants will have the opportunity to enhance a wide range of skills, including digital literacy and storytelling competencies.
The project is implemented by Centropa Germany, Centropa Alapítvány (Hungary), the Centre for Education Policy (Serbia), HERMES (Croatia), the Galicia Jewish Museum (Poland), the University of Patras (Greece), Jewlif (Austria), and DÖW (Austria), in cooperation with the associated partners Leibniz Institute for Contemporary History (IfZ/EHRI) and the Association of European Jewish Heritage (AEPJ). The project is funded by the European Commission.
